Recall one or more of the Lucent Affirmations and consider what they ask of our lives.
A reading or teaching
Offer a reading or teaching with its source clearly identified. Give enough context to understand it and consider its bearing on how we live.
Reflection
Consider what the reading or theme reveals about truth, conscience, character, and responsibility.
Community discussion
Listen carefully. Speak honestly. Ask questions that help us examine our choices and put our convictions into practice.
Commitments to service
Identify a practical act of mercy, justice, or service that members can carry into daily life.
A closing blessing or charge
Close with a simple blessing or call to live faithfully.
