Spiritual Care

On this page

Spiritual care begins with attentive listening and respect for the person before us. Its aim is to help people reflect honestly on life before God, find companionship, and consider a faithful next step.

Room for the questions you carry

Grief, uncertainty, conflict, regret, questions of belief, and difficult choices can all belong in a conversation about spiritual life.

Lucent care is grounded in truth, conscience, integrity, mercy, and service. A conversation can make room to name a difficulty, examine your choices, and consider what care or responsibility the situation calls for.

Honest reflection, patient care

Listening should make room for the truth of a person’s experience, not rush them toward an easy answer. Regret may call for amends; grief may call for companionship; uncertainty may call for time and careful thought.

Care requires respect for conscience. Stewards offer attention and guidance, not a claim to infallibility or authority over every part of your life.
